Public Advisory Notice: Non-Sterile Alcohol-Free Wipes
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have issued a public advisory notice urging the public to stop using certain non-sterile alcohol-free wipes and to dispose of them immediately.
These products — which may have been used for skin cleansing or for cleaning in and around wounds — have now been withdrawn from sale. However, they may still be present in some first aid kits or in people’s homes.
